ATCC Normal Primary Human Umbilical Vein Endothelial Cells, Pooled (Pooled HUVEC), when grown in Vascular Cell Basal Media supplemented with Endothelial Cell Growth Kit components, provide an ideal cell system to propagate HUVEC in low serum conditions with or without the addition of human recombinant VEGF. The cells are cryopreserved in the second passage to ensure the highest viability and plating efficiency. ATCC primary pooled HUVECs are derived from 10 individual donors, thus minimizing the variability associated with cells derived from a single donor.
